Performance Data

Experimental results showing the relationship between stack current, voltage, temperature, and system efficiency.

Stack Efficiency vs. Current

364246505152Stack Current [A]99.799.7599.899.8599.9Efficiency [%]

Stack efficiency decreases slightly as current increases, but remains very high (>99.7%). The best system efficiency (64%) was observed at 52 A.

Stack Voltage & Temperature

384446505152Stack Current [A]460470480490500Voltage [V]2030405060Temp [°C]
  • Voltage
  • Temperature

As temperature increases (up to 50.4°C), the stack voltage drops significantly (from 490V to 472V) due to reduced ohmic resistance, improving efficiency.

Exponential Behavior

The H2 flow rate behaves in an exponential asymptotic pattern with respect to stack current.

Temperature Effect

Higher operating temperatures (up to 51°C) reduce cell voltage requirements, thus improving energy efficiency.

Optimal Load

The system achieves peak performance at 52 A current, producing the best balance of output and efficiency.
